On 2 ndand 3rd February this year, training sessions and workshops were held at Jerzykowo Primary School as part of the 'Green and Blue Pobiedziska’ project. In two days long classes attended 48 teachers of local educational institutions and 10 employees of the Pobiedziska town and Municipality Office. The aim of the meetings was to acquire knowledge in the area of: learning about practical solutions for climate protection, counteracting change and adaptation, including learning about ways to reduce climate change at school, in the city and at home. The experience of Norwegian partner INTBAU Norway in green-blue infrastructure was presented by architectors Arne Sødal and Frederica Miller. Polish research and presentations of good practices in sustainable development were given by Dr Tomasz Jeleński, arch. Agnieszka Czachowska and Prof. Bogdan Chojnicki. On the second day of the training, workshops were held in groups under the expert guidance of Prof. Kinga Racoń – Leja, Dr. Tomasz Jeleński and arch. Agnieszka Czachowska.

The educational tasks planned in the Project are intended to provide the necessary knowledge on climate change and the needs and opportunities for adaptation to its effects. They are addressed to a wide audience and are expected to result in improved effectiveness of adaptation implementation. Employees/experts will be able to use the experience and knowledge gained during the workshops in their daily work and disseminate it in their organisational units.
